Internet

PSTN Copper (ADSL)

ADSL broadband offers low cost internet connectivity anywhere that can have a phone line installed. With a maximum download speed of 24Mbps this is usually only used as a backup connection or when no other options are available.

Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)

Fibre Broadband technology is now available to over 95% of premises in the UK. Fibre Broadband offers download speeds of up to 80Mbps and upload speeds of up to 20Mbps at very competitive prices.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)

Also known as ultrafast full-fibre broadband, this service will have a fibre connection straight into your premises from the cabinet. With maximum download speeds of 330Mbps and low costs FTTP is a great choice for businesses where available. Currently FTTP is only available for around 65% of businesses in the UK.

Ethernet over Fibre to the Cabinet (EoFTTC)

EoFTTC is our new entry-level ethernet solution that closes the gap between high-speed broadband and high availability ethernet services. Installation lead times and rental costs are significantly lower when compared to leased line services, whilst fix time SLA’s are comparative. EoFTTC Ethernet offers fast, reliable access, at a more affordable price and includes all the features of traditional ethernet and benefits from guaranteed uptime against the ISP’s SLA.

Fibre optic Ethernet (Leased Line)

Dedicated, high capacity and uncontended business class connections that have been specifically designed and built to carry both your voice and data traffic. Converge voice and data on to a single connection and benefit from significant cost savings from a single, accountable supplier with a robust, end to end SLA and a market leading reputation as an IP telephony provider.

Have you heard of GFast yet?

What is GFast?

GFast is a copper based broadband service which provides significantly higher speeds than FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) and it doesn’t require full-fibre connectivity and it’s available in many areas where FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) may not yet be available.

How fast is GFast?

GFast is capable of achieving speeds up to four times faster than FTTC. With FTTC, businesses can see speeds between 40-80Mb depending on the package they’ve chosen. However, by upgrading to GFast, businesses could see speeds of either 160Mb or 330Mb download and 30Mb or 50Mb upload.

GFast business broadband

How does it work?

GFast works in a very similar way to FTTC but extra specialised equipment is fitted to the BT cabinet to alter the speed frequencies of the connection. This change within the frequencies increases the speed through the copper cable which results in a more reliable broadband with ultrafast speeds. GFast users are typically located no more than 500 metres from their local BT cabinet.

Do I need GFast?

Do you regularly do the following:

  • Download/upload files? (Especially large files)
  • Run video conferencing?
  • Experience slowness when you take card payments?
  • Utilise unified communications?
  • Want to migrate to the cloud but your I.T. infrastructure won’t support it?
  • Utilise cloud applications on a regular basis?
  • Do you run a hotel, restaurant, golf club or conference centre?
  • Own Multiple tenanted offices?
  • Work in the creative industry such as developing apps or producing videos?

If you have answered yes to some of the questions, then we recommend to upgrade to GFast. It will provide a much faster and smoother experience, meaning uploading a file will only take minutes!
